Welcome to Oman Palliative Care
What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care improves the quality of life for patients and their families who are facing the challenges associated with life-threatening illness. It prevents and relieves suffering and aims to enable patients and their families to maintain the best quality of life possible, whatever the diagnosis.
In Oman, palliative care is still in it’s infancy, although there are many initiatives on the horizon. OPC aims to act as a focal point and a catalyst with a focus on education and raising awareness in the community, supporting these initiatives in any way it can and connecting with similar groups internationally.
We cannot change the outcome, but we can affect the journey.
You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life.
